Spectacular 1956 Original Lionel Consumer Catalog Artwork

These are two heavy cardstock boards of spectacular original Lionel Post-War Artwork. This artwork was for pages 10 and 11 of the 1956 Consumer Catalog; featuring the #2338 Milwaukee Road Outfits #1553W and #1559W, and the #1562W Burlington-Geep Passenger Set. These are the last examples of the three proofs that we consigned; no others are available. The Artwork is approximately 25% over-sized in relation to the actual catalog. An original 1956 Lionel catalog (not included) is pictured for comparison. This amazing lot was unexpectedly found by an art dealer at an Estate Auction in New Jersey. Each of these two boards has renderings that were hand-drawn-and-colored on art-paper with the large Milwaukee Road Geep drawn directly on the left-side board, while most of the other Artwork was cut-and-pasted to the right-side board. With professional framing, this will become an outstanding piece of wall d?cor for the Train Room. And, it will not take anywhere near the space required for posters. What more can we say? Here is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a rare piece of Lionel history. Our Opinion is that they are generally in Excellent Plus Condition. All Original in our Opinion.
