This is the Original Set Box for the #X648 Space Set that Lionel made in 1961. This Very Scarce Uncatalogued Set would have included the Difficult-to-find #235 Uncataloged Scout Steam Engine, the #1130T Streamline Tender, the Scarce #3509 Manual Satellite Launching Car, the scarce #3410 Manual Helicopter Launching Car, the #3665 Operating Minuteman Launching Box Car, the #6448 Exploding Target Range Box Car and the #6017 SP-Type Caboose. Each of these items would have been individually boxed. This is one of the "better" Military Sets; Contents confirmed by Project Roar Publishing. The 235 Scout-type engine is more difficult to obtain than the more famous 240 from the Sears Military Outfit. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE ONLY BIDDING ON THE ORIGINAL Set BOX.
